In most cases, more than once. And it seems that the more people have to move, the harder it can become.
This is normally because, over time, we tend to collect more and more stuff. Life can almost start feeling like a race to get a bigger house so that you can have more stuff.
One of the methods that they discuss to help you with your decluttering is a one month challenge. You can do this as a competition with a friend who also wants to declutter or just do it by yourself.
Basically, you would progressively get rid of more and more stuff as the month goes on. So on the first day of the month, you get rid of one thing. On the second day, two things and so on and so on. By the end of the month, you should be a lot lighter.
Not only will decluttering give you more peace of mind but it will make your plans to move a lot easier.
